REMINGTON COLLEGE’S ADOPT OUR SCHOOL PROMOTION

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Promotion valid in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Void in all other states and where otherwise prohibited by law.

PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS: To participate, go to the Adopt Our School tab on the Remington College Facebook fan page and access the application. This promotion is open to public schools, grades K thru 12 operating in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas, as defined by the Department of Education, and are within fifteen (15) miles of a physical Remington College campus zip code and grades K thru 12 operating in Hawaii as defined by the Department of Education, and are within thirty (30) miles of the Remington College-Honolulu Campus.  Remington Colleges reserves the right to make any final decision regarding a school’s eligibility for the promotion. To vote for your school, select your school from the drop down list. If your school is not included in the database, please e-mail adoptourschool@remingtoncollege.edu and provide your school information including the school name, complete address, website address (if available) and your contact information so we may verify eligibility. Upon verification your school will be added to the database within 48 hours.

  1. HOW TO VOTE: Beginning January 31, 2011, at 8:00:00 AM (ET) through March 13, 2011, at 11:59:59 PM (ET) (“Promotion Period”) go to www.adoptourschool.com, www.Facebook.com/remingtoncollege or text “ADOPT” and school’s full name to 25827. Standard text messaging rates may apply.

  2. VOTER ELIGIBILITY:Open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older. Promotion not available to residents who do not meet age/residency requirements.

  3. VOTING PERIOD AND WINNER SELECTION: Beginning January 31, 2011, at 8:00:00 AM (ET) through March 13, 2011, at 11:59:59 PM (ET) ("Voting Period"), the eligible schools will be posted at http://www.Facebook.com/remingtoncollege and www.AdoptOurSchool.com for public voting. Voters will be allowed one (1) vote for their favorite eligible school per day, per Facebook account or one (1) text message vote per day, per phone number or one (1) vote per day, per email address on www.AdoptOurSchool.com during the Voting Period. Any participant found trying to manipulate the voting or registering a false Facebook account will cause his/her votes to be disqualified. For purposes of this promotion, a “Day” is defined as a consecutive twenty-four hour time period during the Promotion Period starting at 8:00:00 AM (ET) and ending at 11:59:59 PM (ET). The general public will be invited to vote online for their favorite eligible school. The public voting will determine the winners. The eligible school with most votes will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the winning schools will each receive the full donation.

  4. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Remington Colleges reserves the right to award fewer than eighteen (18) donations in the event that there are not a sufficient number of eligible votes. On or before March 25, 2011, the principal for each winning school will be contacted by Remington Colleges in writing to initiate the donation fulfillment process. If donation notification is returned as non-deliverable, donation shall be forfeited and an alternate qualified school with next highest votes shall be selected as provided in these Official Rules.

  5. CONTEST AND PRIZE USAGE GUIDELINES: Funds will not be paid to school districts, foundations, PTA/PTO, booster, or alumni organizations. Only projects in the following categories are eligible for funding: efforts focused on curriculum including math, science, reading, language arts, music, art, physical education and technology; books, supplies, equipment are also eligible for funding. The following programs and conditions will not be funded by donation money: politically partisan programs, religious programs; medical or health related consultation or services, including disbursement of medication; direct funding of individual scholarships, financial aid, merit pay, staff professional development, and overhead; fund raising campaigns or lobbying efforts. Donations will not be available to any organizations that are discriminatory in nature e.g. including gender, age, and sexual orientation or schools in violation of any state or federal laws.

  6. DONATIONS/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV):Donations will not be made in cash. Only projects in the following categories are eligible for funding: efforts focused on curriculum including math, science, reading, language arts, music, art, physical education and technology; books, supplies, equipment are also eligible for funding. Examples of acceptable donations include: payment of a copier contract for 3 months; textbooks; supplies; or computers. (ARV – not to exceed $2,000 per each school donation). Donation is subject to the necessary approval(s), if any, enforced in the community in which the winning schools are located. If at any time during the donation fulfillment process, Remington Colleges is made aware of any misrepresentation contained in the voting process, as determined by the Remington Colleges, Remington Colleges reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify the winning school. In the event the school is disqualified, donation will be forfeited and an alternate qualified school with the next highest votes shall be selected.

  7. GENERAL:Donations may not be assigned or transferred. Remington Colleges reserves the right to substitute a donation of equal or greater value in the event that an offered donation is unavailable, subject to all federal, state and local laws/regulations. Neither Remington Colleges, its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising, promotion agencies nor their officers, directors, employees or assigns will have any liability whatsoever of any kind caused by any donation or resulting from acceptance, possession, use and/or misuse of any donation or participation in the promotion or any donation-related activities. Acceptance of a donation shall be construed as and signify each winning school’s agreement and consent that Remington Colleges may use the school’s name, likeness and/or donation information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further consideration, review, approval or payment, where allowed by law. Winning schools acknowledge that neither Remington Colleges nor its agents, officers, directors, or employees have made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any donation, including, but not limited to, its quality or mechanical condition for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on a donation, if any, are subject to the manufacturers’ terms therefore and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee. By participating in this promotion, nominators and voters agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Remington Colleges, which are final and binding in all respects.

  8. INTERNET:Remington Colleges is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated or illegible entries nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Remington Colleges or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Remington Colleges that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this promotion, the Remington Colleges reserves the right at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and to award the donations from among all eligible entries received prior to action taken by Remington Colleges provided a sufficient number of entries have been received. Caution: Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Remington Colleges reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.
