Adopt Our School
Recapping one of our most exciting community enrichment programs
"We know our local public schools’ budgets are very tight and hope [the Adopt Our School program] will be a big boost to the students and faculty."
– Larry Collins
Remington College-Nashville Campus President
Remington College has always been fortunate to enjoy modern facilities and well-equipped classrooms and labs, but we know that it is often a struggle for public schools to keep themselves well stocked with supplies and equipment. Remington College launched the "Adopt Our School" program in 2010 to help provide public schools located near a physical Remington College campus with critical supplies like paper, pencils, pens, markers, hand sanitizer or whatever they need. In fact, the inaugural "Adopt Our School" project in 2010 generated such excitement and was so successful, we rolled it out again in 2011!
As Remington College – Ft. Worth Campus Facilities Manager Anthony Ordille commented after nearby Western Hills Elementary won in 2011, "It was great to see how excited the kids were when they came in and saw all of the supplies stacked on the tables."
Though we are not running the program this year, we are proud that we contributed to making many public schools in our campus communities better places to learn, play, create and excel. Excellence in education has always been and will always remain Remington College’s foremost goal.
- $58,000: Total funds for all winning schools
- $2,000: Max prize for individual schools
- 18: Winning schools in 2010
- 11: Winning schools in 2011
- 10: States with eligible schools

I believe that this program will shape alot of young lives. It is very important for our youth to know that we as a community have their backs, and will do what we can do to make sure they have the tools to succeed!

We were overwhelmed with the amount of classroom supplies Remington College provided us with after winning the Adopt Our School program. They really know how to shop and maximize the $2,000.00. The teachers and students really appreciate all your efforts and you can be assured the material will be used to advance our students learning. Thank you for providing such a magnificent avenue to help our students and teachers.

"I think this is a great thing that Remington College is doing to help schools. The average teacher spends about $1,000 of their personal money to purchase supplies for their students and classroom." May God bless all of your efforts to serve and to give back.

For years I have seen many educators spend their hard earned money to purchase supplies to provide their students with the necessary tools to teach to the best of their ability. Now a local college like Remington College is helping to provide those tools by donating the extra that could have been kept for their owns needs to help those that need it the most...thankyou Remington...this is a great idea!
